Twice a year we have the locally-famous Central Christian Church Spring & Fall Book Sales.
The sales were started and have been run by church volunteer Ron May since 2006, with help from amazing church members such as Ed Riesinger, Jeff Anderson, and so many more, and have been ongoing at our church for 20 years and continues to grow every year. This year, we are at over 80,000 paperback and hardback books of all genres. In all of those decades, the pricing has stayed the same: 50¢ for paperback books, and $1.00 for Hardback books.
In recent years, CCC’s book sale has been able to claim the title of largest book sale in the entire NorthWest, with no signs of slowing down. Church volunteers spend the entire year gathering books from donations and estates, organizing them, then setting them up twice a year. Money raised during the sales go towards the budget for church programs and outreach, with a percentage also donated to a local charity or cause each year.
